THIS IS A guide to help NGOs from the South find funding for environment and development projects from European funders. Most of the book is taken up by overviews of development cooperation in 12 European countries, each of which includes a description of the country's official development policies and the agencies responsible, and comments on the extent to which environment and urban issues are part of these agencies' priorities. The overviews also include details of funding available to Southern NGOs through embassies, special funds or international NGOs from that same country. The guide also has details on the European Union and the budget lines available to Southern NGOs. At the end, there is a glossary and a list of the addresses, phone and fax numbers of the agencies it describes, and suggestions for further reading.
